Who we’re looking for
We’re hiring our first Data role to own and extend the data modelling layer to power more detailed reporting and decision-making across the company. You’ll own the transformation layer, the reports that sit on top of it, and the operational health of the pipelines underneath.
Your responsibilities
- Build and maintain the data models that drive data-driven decisions
- Own and build dashboards
- Add and maintain new data sources
- Improve data quality through tested, documented models with clear lineage.
- Troubleshoot pipeline failures and keep ingestion healthy. Fix data sources when upstream schemas change or tables are deprecated.
- Own where each key metric is sourced from, and maintain a single trusted definition for each
- Work directly with stakeholders to ensure their reporting requirements are met and support self-serve reporting
What you bring to the table
- Proven track record with 5+ years experience
- Strong SQL, with real production experience in BigQuery or a comparable cloud warehouse.
- Demonstrated ability to model data — to take an ambiguous question and design clean, reusable, layered transformations, not just one-off queries.
- Hands-on experience with a managed ELT/transformation platform (Fivetran, Weld, dbt, or similar) and the discipline that comes with it: version control, testing, lineage.
- Production experience building dashboards and reporting in a modern BI tool.
- Genuine fluency in SaaS metrics — ARR, activation, retention, churn, cohorts — enough to speak the language of the business and spot when a number is wrong.
- Implement data quality strategies and governance frameworks across the organisation.
